In an 8:30 am session this morning, the North Carolina House of Representatives held a vote to override Governor Cooper’s veto on the state budget. With 64 of 120 members present, the vote was 55-9 in favor of an override.
A three-fifths majority is needed in each chamber to fulfill an override; a Senate vote is not yet scheduled.
