Goals & Initiatives

This whole space is created with the intent to help you understand what we’re doing, why, and how. Take a look at just some of the highlights and explore the site for more information on how we’re striving to make diversity, equity, and inclusion more than just a touchpoint.

Learning for everyone

Goal: To provide resources that help us all become more knowledgeable about diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as to implement what is learned into our personal and professional lives.

Initiative: We’ve collaborated with subject matter experts and The Diversity Movement to provide courses, articles, podcasts, and white papers to support this goal.

Filling the pipeline

Goal: Provide financial assistance to students from historically marginalized populations at all levels of post high school education.

Initiative: We awarded 1/3 of the Foundation’s scholarship dollars and created a plan to make the selection process even more equitable and diverse.

Fingerprints on leadership

Goal: To transition to a structure more aligned with NCACPA’s strategy, allowing more people to serve & volunteers.

Initiative: We reimagined our volunteer structure, added new Resource & Networking groups, and created opportunities that represent a culture of belonging for anyone who wants to volunteer and get involved.

A community of perspectives

Goal: To support and include more community-based organizations, vendors, and speakers in the operation of the Association.

Initiative: NCACPA supports diverse organizations such as Braveworks, Girls on the Run, the Greensboro Urban Ministry, as well as collaborates with NC’s HBCUs and contracts with diverse subject matter experts to support this goal.
