NCACPA is committed to…
The Association is committed to cultivating diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) throughout its membership, leadership, staff, and business relationships. The Association will continue to grow the accounting profession and strengthen the pipeline by increasing diversity within the profession, especially by creating greater access for historically marginalized students and professionals. We believe the adaptability and sustainability of the Association and the broader accounting profession will be achieved through DEI.

Goals & Initiatives
This whole space is created with the intent to help you understand what we’re doing, why, and how. Take a look at just some of the highlights and explore the site for more information on how we’re striving to make diversity, equity, and inclusion more than just a touchpoint.
Learning for everyone
Goal: To provide resources that help us all become more knowledgeable on DEI topics and implement those learnings in our personal & professional lives.
Initiative: We’ve collaborated with DEI subject matter experts and The Diversity Movement to provide courses, articles, podcasts, and white papers to support this goal.
Filling the pipeline
Goal: Provide financial assistance to students from historically marginalized populations at all levels of post high school education.
Initiative: We awarded 1/3 of the Foundation’s scholarship dollars to oppressed and marginalized students in 2021 and created a plan to make the selection process even more equitable and diverse.
Fingerprints on leadership
Goal: To transition to a structure more aligned with NCACPA’s strategy, allowing more people to serve & volunteers.
Initiative: We restructured all our Resource & Networking Groups and added new ones that represent a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture and added opportunities for any who want to volunteer to do so.
A community of perspectives
Goal: To support and include more community-based organizations, vendors, and speakers in the operation of the Association.
Initiative: NCACPA collaborates with The Diversity Movement and the Racial Equity institute, DEI consultants and speakers to implement this goal association-wide.
