This year, NCACPA’s nominee Lauren Williams was selected to attend the AICPA 2018 Leadership Academy, which will be held from October 7-11 in Durham, N.C. A principal with Johnson Lambert, Lauren was one of only 41 CPAs chosen nationwide to be a member of the Leadership Academy’s tenth graduating class.
Lauren was slected for the four-day program because of her outstanding leadership skills and professional and volunteer experience. At Johnson Lambert, Lauren provides audit and consulting services to insurance entities, nonprofits, and employee benefit plans. She’s also held many volunteer positions throughout her career, not only within NCACPA, but through programs including the Boys & Girls Clubs Serving Wake County, the Insurance Accounting and Systems Association Inc, and the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce. Lauren’s involvement with NCACPA and its committees is something to be spoken for. She’s served on the Accounting & Attestation Committee and the Member Engagement Team (MET), where she recently transitioned into a leadership role as chair.
Considering her experience and accomplishments, it comes as no surprise that Lauren was selected to be a part of the Leadership Academy. Congratulations, Lauren! We look forward to seeing what exciting new leadership opportunities you accomplish next.
