Beginning on March 11, 2021, the North Carolina Department of Revenue will allow bulk uploads of applications for eligible individuals who missed out on last year’s $335 Extra Credit Grant due to a tax preparation software error that inadvertently omitted data from Line 10a of their income tax return.
The bulk upload option is only available to professional tax preparers and may only be used to submit two or more applications on behalf of individuals who encountered the Line 10a issue. More information and the bulk upload application is available here. A short tutorial video explaining how to use the bulk application can be accessed here.
NCACPA partnered with the NCDOR on a pilot project to test the bulk application submission process earlier this month.
Under legislation enacted earlier this year, the grant application deadline is May 31, 2021.
