About the Speakers:

Daryl Beville, CPA: Daryl Beville is an experienced accounting professional currently serving as the Accounting Manager at Radian Generation and is responsible for financial asset management for several renewable energy projects. Daryl completed her undergraduate studies at Skidmore College then continued on to Wake Forest University where she obtained her MS in Accountancy. Daryl is a licensed CPA in NC and currently serves on the NCACPA Young Professionals Cabinet. Beyond the demands of her professional life, Daryl is known for her passion for family, the arts, and intellectual pursuits.

Iris Laws, CPA: Iris Laws is a Tax Senior Manager with FORVIS’ Tax Professional Standards Group (PSG). In this role she serves as the co-chair of the firm’s Inflation Reduction Act initiative. She is also responsible for the firm’s tax FORsights, the firm’s award-winning thought leadership program. Also, Iris creates firm resources and templates, conducts internal and external training, and performs concurring reviews of complex returns. Outside of FORVIS, she currently sits on both the North Carolina NCACPA’s Advisory Council and Young Professional Cabinet. She is also a part of the Wake Forest Business School Alumni Council, and is a member of Trellis Supportive Care’s Leadership Council. Historically, she has served as the Vice-Chair of the VSCPA PAC Board of Trustees. Iris graduated Summa Cum Laude from Wake Forest University, and received a Master’s of Science in Accountancy from the same institution.

John Pujals, CPA: John Pujals is the Accounting Manager for The Halifax Group, a private investment firm with offices in Raleigh, NC and Washington, D.C., and is responsible for financial reporting, accounting, and compliance activities. Prior to joining Halifax, John worked with a number of private equity clients as a Senior Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Charlotte, NC. John attended North Carolina State University where he earned his BS and Masters of Accounting, Summa Cum Laude. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the North Carolina Association of CPAs and currently serves as a member of the North Carolina Association of CPAs’ Young Professionals Cabinet. During his free time, John enjoys traveling and spending time with family.
