About the Speakers:
Ashley Francis, CPA, is a CPA with 23 years of experience working with ultra-high net worth clients, professional fiduciaries and trust and estate attorneys with complex tax and estate compliance and planning. She runs The Francis Group, PLLC in Seattle, WA and is known for her abilities to fix messy client situations. At the same time, she’s developed a deep understanding of the capabilities of ChatGPT and Copilot. She shares this information with other tax and accounting professionals via her newsletter ‘Kitchen Table Automations’ and her classes on her kta.ai website. Her approach is bringing GenAI out of the theoretical to the practical. She believes that GenAI is the technology that we’ve been waiting for to help us thrive in the accounting profession. She was the Runner Up for CPA.com’s 2023 Innovative Practitioner Award, featured in a Microsoft article about CPAs using automation in their practices and was invited to speak at the 2023 Microsoft Power Platform Conference. She has also spoken on GenAI in 2023 at AICPA’s ENGAGE conference and Global Women’s Leadership Summit and Western CPE’s New Money Summit and Seattle Federal Tax Update. Called the ‘Prompt Queen’ by her friends, she would love to show you some really cool applications of this technology.
Orumé Hays, CPA, CGMA, MST. Founder & CEO of HAYS CPA LLC, is a CPA in the State of New York and the Commonwealth of Virginia. Her extensive finance and accounting experience includes working with small, medium, local, national, and international businesses. She has over a decade of business operations and financial expertise in various business sectors, including architecture, design, entertainment, event productions, food & beverage, healthcare, and hospitality. Orumé is an active member of the AICPA and the NYSSCPA.
Byron K Patrick, CPA.CITP, began as a CPA and then merged his passion for technology with accounting. He founded Simplified Innovations Inc, an IT Department servicing CPA firms, and later joined Botkeeper as a General Manager. Currently, he’s VP of Client Success at The B3 Method Institute, helping leaders design and scale their dream accounting practices. A recognized technology leader, Byron frequently speaks at conferences and contributes to industry publications, including the Journal of Accountancy. He has been an active member of the Maryland Association of CPAs and the AICPA, holding several key positions. Living on a small horse farm in Maryland with his future wife Nikki, Byron is the proud father of an engineer and a student-athlete at the University of Pittsburgh.
