Amy is a “true nine,” having worn the number throughout her soccer career. Amy holds a Bachelor’s in Accounting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she was a student-athlete on the university’s first PSAC Championship Women’s Varsity Soccer Team. A proud Keystone State native, Amy furthered her education with an MBA from Penn State University. She earned a Doctorate in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where her research focused on the relationship between leadership team diversity and strategic change.

Sabrina Parris is the owner of Honeycomb State Tax Strategies, a firm dedicated to assisting tax professionals and their clients navigate complex multistate tax issues. With a profound commitment to the accounting field, Sabrina is particularly passionate about enhancing the accounting pipeline and supporting women in maintaining their careers in public accounting. Dr. April Minatrea is a clinical psychologist with 25 years of experience helping people change and grow. As CEO of a successful private practice and contractor for the Department of Defense, she specialized in working with combat veterans. She developed expertise in treating post-traumatic stress and adapted the process to address another type of invisible injury: leadership injury.

As a speaker, leadership consultant, and Director of Leadership Excellence for the Exponential Mindset Group, she equips leaders and organizations to shift limiting beliefs and address leadership injuries so they can build high-performing teams and create healthy corporate cultures.

Becky joined Waverly in April of 2024 when McShane Partners was acquired by Waverly Advisors, LLC. She serves as Partner, Wealth Advisor and Director of Financial Planning. Becky was a “big four” tax consultant for over 25 years before transitioning to wealth management in 2019. She has advised individuals and businesses on complex tax and financial transactions domestically and internationally. As a wealth advisor she assists clients with financial planning, tax planning, executive compensation, and estate planning. She also advises clients on the financial impact of divorce including property settlements and spousal support.

Becky enjoys working with clients to help them feel confident about their finances and help them make decisions to achieve their goals. For her it is extremely gratifying to become a trusted advisor that her clients rely on for such an important aspect of their life.

In her spare time, Becky enjoys yoga, playing golf and her bass guitar, listening to live music, reading, learning, and spending time with family and friends.

I am an accounting and business professional with 20 years of experience working in accounting, industry, and consulting. In my current role as Principal and Client Relationship Leader, I focus on building and cultivating relationships, as well as supporting over 1,500 professionals across CLA’s Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) practice as we work together to create opportunities for our clients and communities.

Prior to my current role, I worked for over 10 years in the areas of internal audit, risk management and financial reporting, with a focus on serving the financial institutions industry. I have an extensive background working with internal audit, internal controls, COSO, Sarbanes-Oxley, enterprise risk management, corporate governance, financial reporting and the application of U.S. generally accepted accounting principles. In serving in these roles within financial institutions, my experience also includes working directly with banking regulations and FFIEC interagency guidance, bank regulatory authorities, and overseeing safety & soundness examinations.

I am a Certified Public Accountant in the state of North Carolina.

Kecia Williams Smith, Ph.D. CPA, is an Assistant Professor and Director of the Master of Accountancy (MACC) Program in the Department of Accounting and Finance at North Carolina A&T State University (NC A&T).

She holds degrees from NC A&T and Texas A&M University, where she completed her PhD in June 2016.

Prior to entering academia, she was a senior manager at Deloitte where she led engagement teams in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications practice.

Immediately prior to starting her doctoral studies, she was an Associate Director at the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) where she created and led the Inspections Training Office that served over 400 inspection personnel.

Jen is a dynamic strategic program and product leader with extensive experience in the financial services industry. In the workplace, she drives innovation, fosters high-performing teams, and delivers customer-centric digital solutions through strong relationships. Jen has a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Psychology (dual degree) from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), located in Troy, NY, and her Master of Science in Information Systems from Stevens Institute of Technology, located in Hoboken, NJ.

She is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Business Administration at UNC Charlotte and has primary research interests that include entrepreneurship, neurodiversity, leadership and team psychological safety. She is looking to bridge academic knowledge and theory with industry practice. Jen moved from New Jersey to Charlotte with her husband and teen in 2018.

Lisa is the Associate Director – Firm Services at the AICPA. She leads the Firm Services Team, which includes Private Companies Practice Section (PCPS), in the development of practice management tools that address topics most important to firm owners.

Lisa gained both large firm and small firm experience during her 11 years in public accounting, including audit, tax, and small business consulting. After leaving public accounting, she served as the CFO for non-profit and for-profit organizations before joining the AICPA in 2012.

She has been active in the North Carolina Society of CPAs, most recently serving as president of the Triangle Chapter.

Lisa is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University.

She also graduated from ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking in 2012.”

Katherine M.R. Bosken became North Carolina’s 13th Commissioner of Banks, August 31, 2021, upon confirmation by the House and Senate in the North Carolina General Assembly. She was reconfirmed to a new four-year term on March 23, 2023 with her term ending March 31, 2027. Commissioner Bosken was previously appointed Deputy Commissioner for Legal Affairs in 2016, after serving as Bank Supervision Attorney since 2013.

Bosken graduated from the Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland with a B.A. in Computer Science and International Relations, and from Wake Forest University School of Law, with a J.D. She has been licensed to practice law in North Carolina since 2006 and is an inactive member of the Maryland bar. Bosken started her career in private practice, handling a wide range of litigation matters with a North Carolina law firm, and has litigated matters in federal and state courts in both North Carolina and Maryland. She has focused her practice on depository issues since 2010 and has been responsible for advising and counseling the Commissioner and staff on policy matters regarding depository and non-depository supervision. She was nominated to serve as Commissioner of Banks by Governor Roy Cooper on July 1, 2021 and renominated on January 27, 2023..

Elizabeth B. Bostian is an Executive Vice President of the Company and First Bank and has served as the Chief Financial Officer of the Company and First Bank since November 2021. Ms. Bostian has been with the Company and First Bank since 2012, serving as Senior Counsel from 2012 to 2017, and then as General Counsel from 2017 until her appointment as Chief Financial Officer. She previously practiced as a Creditor’s Rights attorney at a private law firm for several years prior to joining the Company and First Bank.
