Navigating the Current Student Loan Landscape and Public Service Loan Forgiveness

Zoom

Description

Join NCACPA’s Financial Planning Networking Group, Michelle Davis, CPA/PFS, and Dr. Christine Cooper on Tuesday, May 27 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm ET via Zoom for a (non-CPE) event to provide participants with knowledge and tools needed to navigate the complex world of student loans. This event will:

  • Help participants differentiate between the various student loan options available to them, including federal loans, private loans, and income driven repayment plans. Participants will gain a clearer understanding of the benefits and drawbacks of each option to help make informed financial decisions for themselves or in guiding clients.
  • Summarize the Department of Education’s current policies related to student loans, including recent changes and updates.
  • Delve into the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program, breaking down the specific eligibility requirements and steps for qualifying for loan forgiveness under this program, including the newly proposed eligibility changes.

With all of the recent student loan related changes and upheavals, this event will give you the current status update you need.

The Zoom access link will be provided in the confirmation email. *This is a non-CPE event
