Business & Industry Fall Conference FAQs
What is a hybrid event?
A hybrid event combines both in-person and virtual components, allowing attendees to join in their preferred format. This year’s Business & Industry Fall Conference will feature a live in-person audience in Asheville as well as an online audience on our virtual event platform.
Both options are 100% live, happening simultaneously and allowing you to participate in the format that’s best for you. Through our virtual events platform, live collaboration, and a fluid mindset, NCACPA’s Business & Industry Fall Conference will give you real-time inspiration, knowledge, and tools to face the challenges and opportunities on the horizon.
Note: In-person seats for this event are sold out! But don’t worry, there are plenty of virtual seats remaining! Make sure you secure your spot!
How do I register for either the virtual or in-person Business & Industry Fall Conference?
You can register for both options here. When completing the registration process, you will need to choose the “in-person” or “virtual” event. You can then further determine which days you’d like to register for under the format you have chosen.
Note: In-person seats for this event are sold out! But don’t worry, there are plenty of virtual seats remaining! Make sure you secure your spot!

What is being done in order to ensure safety during the event?
The health and safety of attendees is a top priority for NCACPA. We have developed the following guidelines and we require that attendees strictly adhere to all guidance in order to make our 2021 events safe, secure and enjoyable for all. Please read NCACPA’s safety guidelines to ensure you would like to participate in an in-person NCACPA event in 2021.
NCACPA In-Person Safety Guidelines:
- For the safety of all attendees, whether vaccinated or not, face masks are required during registration and networking in meeting areas, unless you are seated at your individual desk or during meals.
- NCACPA meeting planners have developed specific seating arrangements to allow comfortable and appropriate space throughout the meeting space.
- Practice proper sanitation measures, which include using our widely provided hand sanitizers and wiping down frequently touched surfaces in your seating area.
- Assess your personal health prior to arrival, so that you can confirm body temperature below 100.4 F, no new cough, no shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, no loss of taste or smell, no chills, and no sore throat.
- Lastly, prior to arrival, confirm that you have not had close contact in the last 14 days with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 or been advised to isolate or quarantine at the time of the NCACPA in-person event.
NCACPA supports the health and well-being of its community and has collaborated with event facilities to develop safety protocols and measures designed to minimize the risk of COVID-19 infections. Despite NCACPA’s efforts to minimize the risk of COVID-19 infections, it is impossible to eliminate the possibility that you could be exposed to or contract COVID-19 while participating in an NCACPA onsite event or at other event facilities. A signed agreement will be required prior to your purchase and participation in an NCACPA In-Person Event.
Will I have to wear a mask at the conference?
Masks Required Indoors in Buncombe County

Effective immediately, indoor public spaces include business establishments, offices and workplaces, public transportation facilities and vehicles, and any indoor place the public is invited and allowed to enter and gather. The order applies to all people who are at least 5 years old, and face coverings are recommended for all people over the age of 2.
