Robert Broome CAE
Vice President of Advocacy & Outreach
As part of the executive leadership team at NCACPA, Robert is responsible for external operations of the Association. He leads multiple teams to drive the advocacy, outreach, and engagement strategies that advance NCACPA’s mission and elevate the value and influence of the CPA brand.
Robert has extensive experience as a lobbyist, fundraiser, and chief staff executive for professional associations. A native of Tennessee, he worked in Nashville and Atlanta before moving to Raleigh in 2013. He earned his Certified Association Executive credential in 2020.
Robert is an active member of the North Carolina Professional Lobbyists Association and Association Executives of North Carolina. Outside of work, he volunteers with the American Red Cross and Inter-Faith Food Shuttle. Robert graduated from Austin Peay State University with a degree in political science. He and his wife, Brandi, are the proud parents of two daughters.
Fun facts about Robert:
- Although terrified of dogs as a kid, he now has two rescue dogs: Charlie and Lola.
- He’s served as a political consultant to more than 50 campaigns.
- He is an enthusiastic collector and teller of dad jokes. Some of them are funny.
