SN002425: Estate Planning in a Nutshell: Building a Secure Future Through Smart Planning

Online

Description

Estate planning isn’t just for the wealthy-it’s a practical, empowering process that helps individuals protect their assets, safeguard their wishes, and provide clarity for loved ones.  Join NCACPA’s Financial Planning Network and estate planning attorney Abigail Peoples on Tuesday, April 28 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm via Zoom. In this (non-CPE) event, Abigail Peoples breaks down the essential tools everyone should understand, from wills and powers of attorney to trusts, beneficiary designations, and advanced directives. She explores why people create estate plans, how life changes such as divorce, remarriage, or the loss of a spouse affect planning needs, and what additional considerations—like retirement strategies, Medicaid planning, and joint ownership—mean for your long term goals. Attendees will walk away with a clear, approachable overview of how thoughtful planning can bring peace of mind at every stage of life.
