I’m not sure we could have asked for a more beautiful day. The weather was ideal… the course at Pine Island Country Club was in awesome condition… and the stars aligned so that two 2014 Charlotte Chapter scholarship recipients could be in attendance to volunteer. Indeed, the Charlotte Chapter was blessed with the perfect day for a golf tournament.
On May 19, just over 80 golfers (down from our prior year of 120—but we’ll improve those numbers next year!) played for a cause, and a fabulous cause at that! The Charlotte Chapter hosted its 7th Annual Golf Tournament, and net proceeds are used to fund scholarships for accounting students in our area. In fact, this year we provided $12,000 in scholarships to four very deserving students. As you can see, the tournament is very important to our chapter—it’s the annual event we use to fund our scholarship account!
