Tired of being Sick and Tired—Triad Professional Women Discuss Wellness
Hello Friends,
Renee Leonard of Bell Partners led us through an engaging discussion centered on “Living a More Productive & Purposeful Life.” We talked about the related TED Talk from New York Times bestselling author Rory Vaden, discussing why we can’t solve today’s time-management challenges with yesterday’s time-management strategies. An intimate gathering of about 14 ladies shared techniques we are using to maximize time and live a more purposeful life in today’s fast-paced environment.
We also had a side conversation about the purpose of the group. We talked about how networking is really about getting to know others well enough to figure out how you can proactively
help them—and all boats—rise. It is about creating friendships and building on those relationships by showing up each month—no matter the topic. It is also about investing in relationships with others, where trust and opportunities for collaboration are earned over tim. The added benefit is that the lunches at Mimi’s Café are quite delicious!
Next week, Donna Multerer of D. Stone Builders will facilitate a discussion around being “Tired of being Sick and Tired”. Learn how to approach wellness in a way that works for you and your lifestyle and avoids fads and trends by exploring a more holistic approach to common issues while discovering hidden dangers to our health and our immune system. Bring your favorite tips and tricks to share with the group! Register now and mark your calendar to meet for good times and good food at Mimi’s Café in Friendly Center EVERY third Thursday of each month from 11:45 am to 1:15 pm. The luncheon is $10 for NCACPA members, and $15 for non-members.
Warmest,
Paula
