The NC Department of Revenue shared with NCACPA the attached updated Power of Attorney policy that went into effect on January 1, 2021. As many of you are aware, NCACPA worked in concert with DOR and the NC General Assembly to improve the POA process for the citizens of North Carolina.
We agree with DOR the revised policy improves clarity and consistency regarding the submission of a POA, and the requirements for terminating a POA with the Department as well.
