NCACPA Meets With Legislators on Capitol Hill

Leaders of NCACPA had the opportunity to meet with legislators on Capitol Hill following AICPA Spring Council earlier this week. During their visit, the association met with Senator Burr and Senator Tillis at their respective offices, as well as with Representatives Pittenger, Hudson, and Rouzer.

“I am very pleased with how open our conversations were with these legislators. They asked us questions specific to the impact of federal issues on the state of North Carolina, and provided us with very positive responses overall,” adds Sharon Bryson, CEO of NCACPA. “We were definitely heard.”

Conversations focused on the topics of federal tax reform (the need for simplicity, and the removal of the alternative minimum tax), IRS improvements, and the mobile workforce.
