The Board of Directors is pleased to share a significant milestone in the journey of the North Carolina Association of CPAs. After 38 wonderful years at the current location in Morrisville, the Association is moving to a new office in Raleigh, conveniently located off Blue Ridge Road.
This decision comes after thoughtful consideration and strategic planning that began in the late summer of 2023. Our current building, which has served us well since 1986, no longer fits the evolving needs of the Association nor its members. As the demand for virtual CPE and other online services increased, it became clear that our onsite education center was not being utilized to its fullest potential and was no longer a required component of the Association’s office space needs.
In response, the Board embraced the opportunity to adapt and grow. The sale of our building, which occurred swiftly and garnered significant interest, is a testament to sound management and proactive leadership. This move underscores the Board’s commitment to being trusted financial stewards of the Association’s resources.
The new headquarters will be at The Grove, 2700 Wycliff Road in Raleigh, designed with an open-concept layout to enhance a collaborative work culture, vital for our continued growth and adaptability. This office space, which features ample parking, will provide exciting possibilities for hosting Resource Group and Networking Group meetings, and other member events. The new space is expected to be complete in the fall, and during the interim period, NCACPA will operate from a temporary location at The Grove. We are committed to ensuring a seamless transition and minimizing any impact on services to members.
This move aligns with our dedication to adapting to modern best practices and growing alongside the CPA profession. As we prepare for this transition, we want to assure you that our commitment to you, our valued members, remains steadfast. We are excited about the possibilities that the new office will bring, and we look forward to continuing to serve your professional needs.
The Board thanks you for your support and service to the accounting profession, and will share more information once details are available!
