The North Carolina State Board of CPA Examiners announced that Wanda B. Taylor, Esq., from Raleigh, was recently appointed. Her appointment was announced by the office of Governor Roy Cooper in early March. Taylor swore the Oath of Office at the Board’s March 19, 2019, meeting and will serve as one of two public members on the Board. Her term expires June 20, 2022.
Taylor received her B.A. degree in political science from Duke University in 1983 and her J.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1987. She practices before North Carolina state and federal courts in addition to the United States Supreme Court. She has been the director of litigation, counsel, with Key Risk (a Berkley company) in Greensboro, NC since 2016. Prior to Key Risk, Taylor worked for the State of North Carolina as an attorney with the NC Department of Justice and as a deputy commissioner and chief deputy commissioner with the NC Industrial Commission.
Taylor is a Fellow of the College of Workers’ Compensation Attorneys and a member of the Alliance of Women Attorney in Workers’ Compensation.
