NCACPA’s Board of Directors recently held a specially convened meeting and unanimously approved the CEO Search Committee’s recommendation for the successor of Sharon Bryson, who retired earlier this year.
The Board enthusiastically announces the appointment of Mark P. Soticheck, II, CPA, CGMA, as the new Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1. Mark has been an integral part of NCACPA since May 2016, serving with distinction as the Chief Operating Officer. Under his guidance, the Association has seen significant enhancements in member engagement, operational efficiency, and strategic direction.
Mark’s career spans over 20 years in the accounting profession, with a proven track record of leadership and innovation. His involvement with NCACPA began shortly after he relocated to North Carolina, quickly becoming a key figure in various committees and eventually serving as a member and Treasurer of the Board of Directors. His deep-rooted connection with the Association and his comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing CPAs today make him uniquely qualified for this leadership role.
“We are thrilled to announce Mark as the new CEO of NCACPA,” said Dr. Courtney Knoll, CPA, Chair of the Board of Directors. “Mark’s extensive experience within the organization and his forward-thinking approach are invaluable assets that will undoubtedly strengthen our association. As the accounting profession continues to face significant changes, Mark’s rich knowledge of our organization and his proactive approach make him exceptionally suited to lead NCACPA, and I am confident that his visionary leadership is exactly what we need to thrive in these dynamic times.”
Please join the Board and staff in congratulating Mark on his new role! We appreciate your patience throughout this process and look forward to embarking on this exciting new chapter together.
