NCACPA has been actively engaging its members to provide feedback on two recent exposure drafts concerning alternative pathways to CPA licensure. In October 2024, NCACPA launched a survey to gather member input on these proposals. The insights collected were instrumental for a board-appointed working group in formulating the Association’s official comment letter, which was submitted to the chairs of the UAA Committees of both NASBA and the AICPA on December 4, 2024. To read the letter, please click here.
For a comprehensive overview of NCACPA’s initiatives in this area, members are encouraged to read “Shaping the Future of CPA Licensure,” which can be found in the most recent issue of Interim Report on page 18. Additionally, members seeking more background and information on alternative pathways to CPA licensure can visit NCACPA’s webpage, ncacpa.org/pathways.
As more information becomes available, the Association will provide updates, as this initiative is expected to move quickly.
