For more than a decade, NCACPA has hosted one of the most active member communities of any state CPA association. Every day, members turn to Connect to stay current on legislative updates, work through tricky technical questions, and get honest advice from someone who’s been there—not a generic help desk, but a fellow member. That kind of trust doesn’t happen by accident, and it doesn’t happen overnight. It’s been built one conversation at a time, for years.

The accounting profession today looks different than it did even five years ago. Talent is harder to find and keep. Technology decisions carry more weight and more risk. And increasingly, members have told us that what they need from their professional association isn’t just continuing education—it’s a genuine community they can lean on for real answers, recommendations, and support. In our most recent survey, members told us they wanted recommendations from people who actually understand their world.

That’s exactly what Connect has already proven works. So this fall, we’re building on it in two ways. Connect itself is getting an upgraded experience—a new look, an easier way to jump into conversations, and deeper integration with the tools you already use—because the community that’s carried this association for over a decade deserves an experience that keeps up with it.
And we’re introducing something entirely new: The Exchange, a marketplace where members can discover business solutions the same way they’ve always found the best answers on Connect… through the experience and honest feedback of people they trust, not an algorithm.

None of this works without you. Connect has thrived because members showed up, asked questions, and helped each other, and The Exchange will only be as valuable as the experiences members bring to it. We can’t wait to see what happens when this community turns its attention to something new.
