SN000526: The Financial Toxicity of Cancer
Description
In 2025, roughly 2 million people in the United States were diagnosed with cancer. A cancer diagnosis often leads to significant out of pocket costs, even for those with health insurance. Join NCACPA’s Financial Planning Network and Taylor Jesse, CPA, CFP® on Tuesday, September 22 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm via Zoom for a (non-CPE) event examining financial toxicity in cancer care. This event will provide CPAs with actionable strategies to help clients navigate the financial and emotional challenges of a cancer diagnosis. “Financial toxicity” refers to the severe economic distress, depression, and anxiety experienced by patients, and their families & caregivers, throughout cancer treatment.
