SN000026: Aging with Intention: Living Fully While Protecting Your Assets

Online

Description

As clients move from their energetic younger years into the more measured senior stages of life, their priorities, abilities, and risks shift in meaningful ways. Join NCACPA’s Financial Planning Network on Tuesday, May 26 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm via Zoom for this informative (non-CPE) event. This event explores the practical and emotional considerations that emerge as aging accelerates—especially around financial organization, cognitive capacity, lifestyle choices, and maintaining independence. We’ll discuss why consolidating investment accounts can reduce complexity and protect against errors, how to anticipate and plan for changes in decision making ability, and what advisors should watch for as clients become more vulnerable to missteps.

We’ll also look beyond finances to the lived experience of aging. Travel, for example, often becomes more challenging even for active retirees, making structured tours or guided experiences a safer and more enjoyable option. By understanding these transitions holistically, you can help those you support preserve autonomy, reduce stress, and continue living a rich, fulfilling life well into their later years.
