This award recognizes an NCACPA member who actively participates in, and makes substantial service contributions to, a broad scope of charitable and civic activities. The award is based on outstanding charitable, community, civic, and/or other public service activities. Professional services related to accounting organizations or the CPA profession are not considered in determining the award winner.
All members in good standing are eligible, with the exception of current NCACPA Board of Director members. Some of the criteria to be considered in selecting a candidate for this award include:
- Participation in community, charitable, or other civic activities on the local, state, or national level, especially in a leadership capacity; or
- Responsibility for a public service project that had a significant positive effect on the community; or
- Encouragement of participation in and/or implementation of public service projects
Recipients of the awards will be recognized at the association’s Recognition Dinner on April 30, 2020.
