1:00 pm–4:45 pm ET

# of CPE Credits

Description

We mostly think about stress and its negative impacts in our lives. However, stress can also be beneficial. A healthy level of stress is necessary for optimal performance and, at times, feeling alive. It is when stress interferes with our functioning, rather than optimizing our actions, that we begin to experience harmful effects. We can’t eliminate stress; we should always be learning new techniques for helping to manage ourselves and others through these difficult situations.

Objective

* Walk away from this classroom with steps you can take right now to control what seems uncontrollable * There are numerous activities and techniques to help you through these occurrences * Recognize which steps to avoid that could lead to additional stressors and keep your efforts focused on consistently working toward results that are successful for you
