Review of some of the disciplinary cases presented to the NC State Board of CPA Examiners. Discussion of not only the facts surrounding the cases but also the rationale that the Board used to make the decisions about how to deal with the CPAs involved.
Participants will learn the process the NC Board of CPA Examiners uses to deal with potential violations of its rules. In addition, participants will hear the facts of actual cases and, using their prior knowledge of the NC rules, determine which, if any, rules were violated.
The course highlights some of the infrequent errors committed by NC CPAs and the Board’s response to protect the citizens of the state.
