General #3: Improving Collaboration Using the Microsoft Teams® App
Bryan L. Smith, CPA, CITP, CISA ( CPA Crossings LLC, Rochester, MI ),

In today’s digital world, working in teams can be cumbersome. We have hundreds or thousands of files, emails, voice mails, notes, and instant messages…all stored in different places. If you work in different teams, each team may have their own processes to communicate. There must be an easier way to find all team items in one central place.

This is where Microsoft Teams in Office 365 comes to the rescue. Teams are collections of people, content, and tools that center around different projects and jobs within an organization. Teams is a central “hub” where all things related to the team are maintained, including files, chats, notes, tasks, messages, videos, and more. In this session, you will learn how to bring together all of your team’s conversations, files, and tools into a single workspace.

John Higgins ( CPA Crossings, LLC, Rochester, MI ),

Have you ever thought there must be a better way to collaborate with your teammates when writing documents, creating spreadsheets, working on project plans, scheduling meetings, or sending email? Everyone is using the same tools, but doing everything on their own. Well, Microsoft developed Groups in Office 365 to allow you to choose a set of people that you wish to collaborate with and easily set up a collection of resources for those people to share. Resources may comprise shared Outlook inbox, shared calendar, or a shared document library for collaborating on files.

This comprehensive review of Groups in Office 365 will enable you to leverage the features and improve the collaboration within your organization. Implementing and using Groups within your organization will significantly increase the ROI of your Office 365 subscription.

We will review various data issues, including appending files, combining multiple files from a folder, adding custom columns, unpivoting data, creating a lookup table, and much more.
