This self-paced certificate program offers resources and engagement experiences that can help future leaders show up as their best selves in their organizations, communities, and personal lives. Members have one year to complete the requirements of the certificate program. No matter where you are in your leadership journey, the tools are right here to help you be the best leader you can be.
*While this certificate program is intended for new CPAs (within 3 years of licensure), any NCACPA member who is a licensed CPA is eligible to participate.


The CPA LEAD Certificate Program is engineered to help you achieve professional growth. Participants will complete 5 hours of on demand training (you will earn 5 hours of CPE for these programs) that specifically addresses the essential skills necessary for success in the workplace:

  • Flexible and adaptive thinking
  • Emotional intelligence
  • Decision making
  • Strategic thinking
  • Identifying unconscious biases


Throughout your involvement in the program, you will uncover opportunities and resources provided by NCACPA that strengthen your business connections and relationships and provide access to a wide network of informed and interconnected contacts.

Participants have a selection of various activities that aim to get you connected, such as:
  • Attending a social or networking event
  • Write an article for our magazine, Interim Report
  • Sign up to participate in a committee
  • Community service with Volunteer 365
  • Start a discussion in Connect

Participants in the certificate program will build competency and leadership skills, while improving marketability in the workforce. The certificate program also provides opportunities for engagement in and awareness with NCACPA activities. You will complete 5 hours of self-paced learning based on the essential skills necessary for success in the work place.

Who Should Attend

This certificate program is intended for CPAs within three years of licensure; however, any NCACPA member who is a licensed CPA can participate. You must be an NCACPA member through the entirety of the certificate program.

Must be a licensed CPA and NCACPA member to enroll.
