How Can You Get Involved?
There are lots
of opportunities to get involved in Cabinet initiatives and
support the overall goals of the group. Maybe you’re
interested specifically in a
Cabinet event ? Or perhaps you’re looking for
jointly-sponsored activities with the chapters? The
bottom line is young CPAs can have a big presence in all
association activities, and at all levels.
Join the Young CPA Cabinet:
Submit your
application to Cabinet member
Kate Hinson, or contact the Cabinet’s staff liaison,
Sonya Pittman Guthrie. Applications are due October
15, and final
selections will be made by December 31.
Students, Join Us!
We’re now accepting applications for the student liaison position. The Cabinet wants to hear from
students like you. Are you 35 or under? Will you be a
college student during the term, 5/1/10 – 4/30/11? If so,
check out the
application.
Applications are due October 15,
and a final selection will be made by December 31.
Get Involved in Young CPA Activities:
Networking,
networking, networking… The Cabinet sponsors a wide variety
of activities and events specifically geared toward young
CPAs. Additionally, young CPAs are represented on most
committees and attend numerous chapter events.
NCACPA chapters provide an excellent opportunity to meet
and greet not just fellow young CPAs, but professional
leaders in your own community. Avenues for participation are
endless—your chapter needs your input and energy!

Become a CPA Ambassador:
Developed by the
AICPA in cooperation with state CPA societies, the
CPA Ambassador Program is designed to engage and
mobilize CPAs as highly trained and influential spokespeople
who will highlight the contributions, expertise, and
integrity of the certified public accountant within local
communities.
The program focuses on four critical messages that will help
reintroduce the CPA profession to North Carolina’s public:
-
Financial Literacy
-
Student Recruitment
-
Restoring Confidence
-
Small Business Issues
