Continuing Legal Education (CLE) CREDIT HOURS
Some NCACPA conferences will qualify for continuing legal education credits under our sponsorship agreement with the NC State Bar. Legal professionals will be responsible for reporting, record maintenance, and associated CLE fees. Conferences submitted for CLE approval are identified in all of NCACPA’s promotional materials by the book icon.

GAGAS Requirements for Continuing Professional Education
Some NCACPA conferences will satisfy Yellow Book requirements. Conferences providing Yellow Book sessions are identified in all of NCACPA’s promotional materials by the building icon .

Members engaged in GAGAS engagements must comply with GAO “Yellow Book” continuing professional education requirements (CPE). CPAs performing GAGAS engagements must complete 80 hours of acceptable CPE every two years. Twenty-four of those hours must be in governmental accounting and auditing topics.

It is up to the professional to determine if a course/session will enhance their ability to perform GAGAS engagements. The complete CPE guidance document is available on GAO's website.
