NCACPA requires the following information to promote the program in a brochure, on our website, and other mediums. This information should be submitted 15 weeks in advance of the program.
SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY
In accordance with CPE requirements and to market this program, NCACPA requires a brief biographical sketch.
• If you have spoken for NCACPA conferences in the past, please find your name, review your bio, and notify us of any changes.
• If you have not spoken for NCACPA conferences in the past, please submit electronically a brief biographical sketch (no resumes please). Visit biographies for examples.
SESSION DESCRIPTION (ELECTRONIC SUBMISSION PREFERRED)
Please use the information below to assist you in preparing a memorable title and brief description of your session.
TITLE
• The title should be short and catchy to attract the reader’s attention.
DESCRIPTION
• Your description should consist of 100 to 200 words. Less than 100 is too sketchy and more than 200 is too long.
• Your opening line(s) should be one to two enticing, dramatic, or otherwise interesting sentences. Focus on the content or the learner, NOT the session or speaker.
• The body (sentences three to five), should be a summary of the scope and content of the session. Answer the questions: WHAT will be covered in the session, WHY it is important, and WHAT your audience will gain by attending your presentation. The following first words are appropriate for this part of the description; however, they should be avoided at all costs in the opener:
