The Member Connections Committee is hosting their first-ever CPA Day of Service on Friday, September 21, 2012! This event will be a day for CPAs, members, and guests to help their communities in joint efforts across the state. Many tools will be provided to assist you along the way. Start thinking about how you, a group, or your firm, can get involved!
Team up with charitable organizations of your choice to better your community. For example,
• Volunteer at a soup kitchen
• Help build a home with Habitat for Humanity
• Read to kids at a local school
• Volunteer your time the local Humane Society
• Spend some time at a retirement community NCACPA Chapters will also be planning an event in their specific area. If you are not already involved with a group or organization, you can choose to participate in a chapter event. This is a great option if you don’t have time to rally a group together on your own, and it is an opportunity to network with local members. More details coming soon regarding chapter events. Where do I fit in? Individual—You are not interested in participating with a group, but want to do your own thing. Or, you want to participate with a planned chapter activity.
Group—You have a group (more than one) of friends, family, or colleagues who want to volunteer for a local organization. Each person will be shipped a t-shirt individually.
Firm—You are organizing a group from a specific firm to volunteer with a particular organization on this day. You will need to designate one person as a main contact at the firm to whom all t-shirts will be shipped. Questions?
