2010 NATIONAL MAP SURVEY RESULTS
Results from the 2010 PCPS/TSCPA National Management of an Accounting Practice (MAP) Survey, conducted by the AICPA Private Companies Practice Section and the Texas Society of CPAs are now available. The survey offered practitioners, especially in smaller firms, the opportunity to benchmark their financial results and practice management policies and procedures against those of other firms. Here are two reports customized for North Carolina: State Report Section I and State Report Section II.
COMFORT LETTER TO LENDERS
Many CPAs today are faced with a unique challenge of providing a loan broker or lender with a “comfort” letter on behalf of a client. PCPS provides some guidance for these situations.
CPAmobility.org
A joint project of the AICPA and the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy, the new CPAmobility.org website provides helpful information, updated regularly, on state practice privilege requirements for CPAs, commonly referred to as “mobility” laws, for all 50 states and five US jurisdictions. In four simple clicks online, CPAs can learn whether their existing home state registration is mobile and allows them to work in other jurisdictions without additional notice, or whether further paperwork is required. CPAmobility.org also has been optimized for use on mobile devices to ensure easy access while out of the office.
