Not- For-Profit Technical Assistance Program

2007-2008 Action Plan
Strategy:           Action:
Develop the annual NFP Conference. Review and discuss 2005 event, identify timely topics; Identify speakers.
Host a committee meeting prior to the conference. Review conference activities, committee responsibilities, and update other committee related activities.
Continue to promote the NC Center's Accounting Assistance Program. Work with the Center on benchmarking participation and success of this program through evaluations of both organizations' members, and to continue with periodic marketing through articles in IR and The Common Ground, website updates and links, fax broadcasts, or potential annual e-blast seeking CPA volunteers.
Prepare quarterly articles for The Common Ground on NFP financial related topics. Semi-annual review of schedule to predetermine subject matter and recruit committee volunteers for each edition of the newsletter.
Prepare quarterly articles for Interim Report to promote committee or member awareness or technical topics. Semi-annual review of schedule to predetermine subject matter and recruit committee volunteers for each edition of the newsletter.
Work with the NC Center to develop and deliver technological educational offerings (no CPE/not for CPAs) via live webinars and prerecorded online audio "talk shows." Form a subcommittee to work out the technical and logistical aspects for hosting a webinar and talk show, and recruitment efforts for committee participation in the events.
Work with State Treasurer's Office to revamp the annual NFP State Treasurer Award. Work with Vance Holleman to redefine the purpose of the award (to encourage CPAs/NPOs to strive for excellence, best practice awareness, education, raise the profile of the NP sector, and state government working together) by defining and improving the application process, promotion of, and recognition of recipient.
Provide representation at the annual CPE Task Force meeting. Review and provide input regarding NFP seminar selections, discussion leaders, locations, and dates.
