Works to identify ways to increase services to the minority CPAs in the profession, and to increase the number of minorities entering the public accounting profession.

2007-2008 Action Plan
Strategy:           Action:             
Continue to develop relationships with faculty and students at neighboring colleges. Coordinate a minimum of two campus events such as career discussions, professional development seminars. Coordinate MIC participation in and sponsorship of NC A&T's Pace Program.
To develop relationships with other committees and/ or associations with similar objectives. Coordinate MIC participation in at least one training activity with organizers of NABA and/or INROADS. Plan one networking event in conjunction with other     area minority professional associations (e.g.100 Black Men).
To develop and foster positive working relationships with other committees within the association. Co-sponsor at least one networking or other event sponsored by another committee or chapter within the association.
To identify, recognize, and reward high achieving minority accounting students. The scholarship task force will continue to review applications, select recipients, and coordinate and communicate the details of the scholarship to colleges and universities across the state.
Schedule Regular Meetings. Hold 4 committee meetings to discuss MIC activities (1 meeting per quarter).
Utilize the Interim Report to share information with members concerning MIC activities, members and hot topics. Submit 4 articles for publication in the Interim Report (at least one in every issue).
