Works to identify ways to increase services to the
minority CPAs in the profession, and to increase the number
of minorities entering the public accounting profession.

Continue to develop relationships with faculty and students
at neighboring colleges.

Coordinate a minimum of two campus events such as career
discussions, professional development seminars. Coordinate
MIC participation in and sponsorship of NC A&T's Pace
Program. |
To develop relationships with other committees and/ or
associations with
similar objectives. |

Coordinate MIC participation in at least 1 training activity
with organizers of NABA and/or AICPA (e.g.AICPA to discuss
minority scholarship in conjuction with NCACPA at NCCU and NC
A&T) |

To develop and foster positive working relationships with
other committees within the association. |

Co-sponsor at least one networking or other event sponsored
by another committee or chapter within the association. |

To identify, recognize, and reward high achieving minority
accounting students. |

'-The scholarship task force will continue to review
applications and select award recipients.
-Coordinate and communicate the details of the scholarship to
colleges and universities across the state through letters
addressed to designated liaisons at each school requesting their
support in promoting the scholarship and soliciting the
assistance of the school’s staff, faculty and professors.
-The Scholarship Committee has developed flyers and posters to
be sent to Department Heads as well as Financial Aid offices of
all the schools.
-MIC liaisons will contact the schools to follow up on receipt
and distribution of the scholarship applications.
-MIC volunteers will visit campuses of local schools to discuss
the scholarship with students and faculty.
-Future issues of the Interim Report will be used to communicate
awareness of the Outstanding Minority Accounting Student
Scholarship to NCACPA members. |

Schedule Regular Meetings. |
|
Hold 4 committee meetings to discuss MIC activities (1
meeting per quarter). |
|
Utilize the Interim Report to share information with
members concerning MIC activities, members and hot topics. |
|
Submit 2 articles for publication. |
