Looking for a better way to pay for college? Look no further. Below is a listing of NCACPA, AICPA, and other organizations’ scholarships that can help you on your way. Remember to contact your college financial aid office for other potential sources of financial aid.

North Carolina CPA Foundation Scholarships
In 2013, the North Carolina CPA Foundation’s annual merit scholarship program received a total of 64 applications from students at 22 North Carolina colleges, universities, and community colleges. Thanks to our members’ generous contributions, the Foundation was able to award 30 scholarships totaling $40,000 to very deserving students. Additionally, 16 awards totaling $16,000 were made from the James L. McCoy Accounting Scholarship Fund. The awards range from $1,000 to $5,000, and all qualified applicants are offered a complimentary one-year NCACPA membership. Applications are available online from December 1 to February 12. Chapter Scholarships

Did you know NCACPA's Chapters award thousands of dollars in scholarships each year? The association provides each regional chapter with $3,000 to award academic and needs-based scholarships in their local area.

Outstanding Minority Accounting Student Scholarship
The North Carolina Association of CPAs, through the North Carolina CPA Foundation and the Minority Action Committee, recognizes the extraordinary achievement, leadership, and talent of the state's top minority accounting students each year. This competitive, merit-based scholarship is designed to reward minority accounting students for their achievements both inside and outside the classroom and to support them on their way to a career in accounting. AICPA, Organization, and CPA Firm Scholarships

AICPA Graduate Accounting Scholarships
Liberal arts students wishing to pursue graduate accounting study can receive financial aid through the AICPA John L. Carey Scholarships Program. Scholarships are available to all liberal arts degree holders of any regionally-accredited US institution who wish to pursue a CPA certificate. For more information on the John L. AICPA Minority Accounting Scholarships
AICPA offers a Minority Scholarships Program that supports minority accounting students at the undergraduate and several specific graduate level programs. Applications can be downloaded here.

2014 Land Grant University Tax Education Foundation, Inc. Writing Competition

The Land Grant University Tax Education Foundation, Inc. (LGEUTEF) announces an annual competition with the purpose of identifying outstanding young scholars with aptitude and interest in federal income taxation education.
