Financial Literacy

The North Carolina Association of CPAs is proud to be leading the state’s financial literacy efforts. Our goal is to help North Carolinians reduce debt and build wealth, and by doing so, strengthen the state’s economic standing and financial future. It’s a win-win situation for everyone!

Volunteer!
Your input might help a single mom plan to save for her children’s college education, inspire a child to open a savings account, or educate a college student about using credit responsibly.

People in YOUR community need your help. Whether it’s talking to students about credit, or helping a family establish a budget, there will be a variety of opportunities across the state for NCACPA members to get involved.

To become a financial literacy volunteer, please submit a volunteer form.

But there’s a catch…
All we ask is that you keep NCACPA informed of your individual financial literacy efforts. If you participate in a financial literacy, community outreach, or student recruitment event in your area, we want to hear about it!

Simply complete this form, or send the following information to Lorrie Leonhardt at lleonhardt@ncacpa.org:

  1. Your name

  2. Group/organization you worked with

  3. Date of the event

  4. Location

  5. Topic(s) covered

  6. Number of “touches” (how many people heard your message?)

Not only will your experience provide good feedback for us, you may be recognized in an upcoming issue of Interim Report, or at future association events.

For more information, contact Lorrie Leonhardt at lleonhardt@ncacpa.org.
