Chapter Mission Statement
The chapters of the North Carolina Association of
Certified Public Accountants were formed to serve
several functions:
- Enhance networking, communication, and
camaraderie within the profession
- Facilitate the delivery of services and
benefits
- Promote active discussion and awareness of the
professional issues
- Enhance the identity of NCACPA and its members
through community service efforts
- Involve members in the advocacy process
- Provide educational opportunities in concert
with NCACPA’s educational activities
- Increase member retention
Chapters Are…
- Affiliates of the association
- A source for nominees to the NCACPA Board of
Directors
- A vehicle to develop relationships with area
legislators, regulators, and other professionals
- Important in the recruitment of members
- Responsible to the association’s Board of
Directors
- Funded through the budget request process to
support member programs
- Empowered to take official action on a matter
involving NCACPA members after gaining approval
from the board of directors
- Included in the association’s annual financial
audit
- Included in the association’s CPE Sponsorship
Agreement with the North Carolina State Board of
Certified Public Accountant Examiners
